How to Win with Real Estate Social Media using Home Story Visuals

As a busy realtor, you likely find yourself working long days and wishing you could clone yourself to get all your tasks done. That’s where we come in!

Instead of just delivering your media to you, we post it to your social media accounts so that you can show the world the expert marketing you will provide for selling their home. We do this automatically so we can free you up to spend your valuable time with clients and family. What will you do with the time we save you?

Here are some further tips to help you shine on social media.

Facebook: Create a business page

Creating a business page on facebook is an important and easy step to marketing yourself. It will also help you keep business content separate from personal stuff like kids activities or photos from your fishing trip that your real estate clients wouldn’t find valuable.

A facebook business page also allows you to be notified whenever we post something on your behalf. A personal facebook profile won’t do this.

Wanna set one up? Follow these steps:

On facebook desktop: In the upper right hand corner near your name, hit the plus sign. Scroll down to Page, enter your page name, fill in a few details and done!

On facebook for mobile: Log into facebook with your browser or app. In the lower right hand corner, click on the menu hamburger (those 3 horizontal lines). This brings you to the Pages menu. In the upper left hand corner, click on +Create. Fill in some details and done.

Share, share, share

Now that you have a facebook page specifically for your realty business, you’ll be notified every time we post for you. When you see these come across in your notifications, SHARE THEM! Share to your business page and personal page so the world can see the marketing you do for each and every client!

INSTAGRAM shares better

Most people don’t realize how few of their personal facebook friends won’t see the content they post because of facebook’s algorithm and popularity of facebook’s ad network.

Instagram however delivers your content to a much higher percentage of your followers.

Look at this chart. The red box shows identical posts sent through facebook and instagram at the same time. The facebook post was visible to 18 followers but the Instagram was able to reach 50 and as you’d expect had more likes and comments.

sharing on instagram

You can share content on Instagram too! When you see a post that you like and would like to share with your followers, click on the triangular, paper airplane icon right next to the heart icon below the photo. This will bring up a menu and allow you to share it with your audience!

Hit the top selection “Add post to your story” and boom…you’ve shared it with your audience via the Instagram Stories that scroll from left to right across the top of your instagram app.

By the way, Christian Dalbec is a wonderful North Shore photographer who make amazing images by swimming in Lake Superior year round!

Linked IN is another hot location

Sharing on Linked In is a great place for real estate content. It shows your audience your professionality, activity and alerts them to new housing opportunities in this red hot market. Coming soon ads are especially valuable even to other realtors who might have a buyer waiting for your sellers location, home type, size or amenities.

Because Linked In isn’t as popular as an advertising platform, a large percentage of your audience will see your posts!

As a bonus, Linked In allows mention notifications so you can be alerted and share when someone posts with your name.

Property WEBSITES that capture imaginations and leads

A Property Website is a custom webpage built to showcase all of the relevant information and media on a given property. Sending social media traffic to one of these pages is a great idea for social posts and one that we use a lot.

Visitors who want more information can fill out a quick form and you’ll be emailed their info! Realtors love em!
